I'd heard a few bad reviews mainly about the service. Granted we went at what was probably a slow period and our waiter was frank about the wait time, but i honestly don't know how long we waited because we were too busy chatting the afternoon away. The food seemed to arrive in good time (we made sure to order fish soup as a starter to tide us over), the servings were huge, my friends enjoyed their Brown Stew and Fried Fish, and i thought my grilled lobster was fantastic.
Unfortunately i have marked them down on ambiance, cos really, the roadside setup is not cute, and the wind blows away anything that is not nailed down, including your food. But, with that said, i will definitely go back!
The wait is long as everybody says but the one thing I like is that this is one of the few places I can spend 1 grand+ and get a big lobster on my plate.
5 of us dined the day we went. The food was good and the price was higher than I normally pay, but on par with other restaurants. The service was extremely slow...I'm talking 1.5 hours for the food to come. I was prepared for that though because friends had told me to pack a lunch if I'm going to eat there LOL.
The food here is ok, but I've always heard people raving about Gloria's so I expected the food to be spectacular. It's decent, no complaints really, but I've had better food at the less talked-about Fisherman's Cabin down the street (which incidentally is also cheaper).
