The Emptier the Better.
Each time I go to Fiction I pray the experience will be better than the last time. Sadly, it never is. The decor is fabulous and very posh, the bars well stocked but on the nights I was there I felt like a sardine in a tin can.On nights like that, when there's a full house, room to dance is non-existent and having people constantly move you out of the way as they go through the crowd is a real downer. On one particular occasion it was so packed that as a bartender made his way through the crowd with a large crate he accidentally hit my friend in her head with it.Not cool.
However, not every night is like this. On Weds, Brand New Machines (BMN) has a good vibe and smaller crowd but I have work the next morning so thats out of the question. Also, ladies night on Thur is good but once again I have work so I cant really enjoy that either anymore. If only they could incorporate a system where they have a cut off point of patrons for the night to decrease the claustrophobic effect. Definitely needed for Friday and Saturday nights.
I keep going back for the music which I think is always an excellent mix of 90's classics, rock, techno, reggae and dancehall. I really cant have another experience like the last time or I'll just stick to rocking out at home where its safe and my friends and I wont get head wounds.
